Care of Your Strider Solutions Gear

At Strider Solutions, we build products designed for durability and performance. To ensure your kit lasts and maintains its integrity, certain care measures must be followed. Proper care prevents unnecessary wear and preserves the look, function, and reliability of your gear.

Apparel (Shirts, Hoodies, Shorts)

Shirts & Hoodies
- Cold wash only
- Do not bleach
- Hang dry out of direct sunlight
- Avoid tumble drying and high heat, which can damage print and fibres
Shorts
- Hand or machine wash on gentle cycle (≤30°C)
- Use mild detergent only
- Do not bleach, iron, or tumble dry

Patches

Infrared (IR) Patches
- Do not hot wash – excessive heat will break down the adhesive
- Avoid placing in high-abrasion areas, as thin laser-cut lines can tear under friction
- If minor separation occurs between Cordura and IR material:
  1. Place patch between cloth layers
  2. Apply low-to-medium heat with an iron to reactivate adhesive
  3. Allow to cool, test, and repeat if necessary
- If adhesive cannot be restored, contact us for a replacement
Cordura & Nyco Patches
- Cold hand wash recommended with mild or no detergent
- Avoid harsh chemicals which accelerate fading
- Natural sunlight will gradually bleach Cordura over time – store out of direct sun when not in use

Tactical Gear (Chest Rigs, Belts, Pouches)

Spot clean with damp cloth and mild detergent
Do not machine wash or submerge for prolonged periods
Air dry only – never use tumble dryers or heaters
Brush off dust and debris after field use to maintain Cordura fabric strength and stitching

General Guidelines

Always cold wash when possible – heat breaks down adhesives, fibres, and coatings
Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals – these shorten fabric and print life
Store in a cool, dry environment away from prolonged UV exposure
Inspect your gear regularly for signs of wear and address issues early
